Apparently I have to watch Vigilante to redeem Forster but...as Max Cherry, I'm not a fan. He doesn't doesn't work all the well under Tarantino's pen.

Ordell is the beset. Really. I love him ridiculous amount. He's batshit crazy, manipulative, and doesn't like not getting his way. And I do love his subtle little soft spot for his surfer girl. Just another fatal Tarantino almost-romance.

And yes! I definitely love that scene. It's one of my favorites in the film. They've both got some epic chemistry together.

And thanks! I love me some Tarantino.M. Send in Jules to give me a good verbal thrashing.

I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of Max Cherry. He's a typical Elmore Leonard character type rather than a Q. Because he's essential to the story in a way there was no way for Tarantino to work around him so he worked him over as best he could, but there's still no pumping life into that energy drain.

Ordell is definitely my fave Sam L because he is an evil bastard. He knows how to get shit done except when it comes to Melanie.

And you gotta love the fuck scene between Louis and Melanie. Classic opportunistic Let's-Fuck-Cuz-I'm Bored-and-I've-Seen-You-Checking-My-Ass.

Epic review, my sister.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04443736284850057306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-449435543689622165.post-49588780477345679172012-08-04T12:19:51.661-07:002012-08-04T12:19:51.661-07:00Challenge accepted! Score awesome for Keaton.

And now you really have to write up a Jackie Brown review! I could probably be convinced to like Forster in this movie, but you've gotta start talking!M. Gotta love the man! And I'm excited to see what you write up for Kill Bill!M. I remember pretty much nothing you mentioned, so it's definitely time.

One thing my friend pointed out to me that I always found interesting, is the bit about Keaton playing the same character in both Leonard flicks. It's small, but kinda cool regardless.

And c'mon? No love for Forster? Aaaaaggh! That guy rules! Especially here!m.brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14457418128925003938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-449435543689622165.post-38724980035631430282012-07-31T20:13:25.622-07:002012-07-31T20:13:25.622-07:00Great write up! Even so, it seems obvious while watching that he had a great time doing it. I'd hoped to get this one in for the blogathon but alas, things have been too crazy. I will get in on the Kill Bill action though. Good reason to give it a fresh watch.INDBrenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11606473452389713844noreply@blogger.com
