QT BLOGATHON: KILL BILL VOL. 1
So I have been a terrible, terrible person. September 1st has come and gone and I have yet to post the three badasses who were awesome enough to take part in my QT Blogathon. The horror! The betrayal! In my defense, I was getting smashed with fellow nerds at Dragon Con. And doing my best to abduct Katee Sackhoff and the entire cast of Firefly. Clearly, a very intense weekend. But that is still no excuse to have put off this post for so long and for that, I am sorry. When this post is done, if you still feel raw about it, I'll be waiting. Without further ado...
1. Melissa sucker punches the fuck out of Hollywood.
2. Mr. Darko does not cry over spilled blood.
3. Brent argues that the fun factor way outweighs any credibility factor.
Check them out! And, of course, I'll get off my ass (or on my ass, rather) and crank out a Kill Bill Vol. 1 review of my own in the near future. This month, watch out for Kill Bill Vol. 2! Because we couldn't get enough of The Bride if we tried. If you've got any reviews/lists/rocksalts for Kill Bill: Vol 2, send them to mhufstader (at) gm.slc.edu before the end of the month and I'll post them up!
Gah I always forget this. Anyways, this is my favourite QT movie because (1) it introduced me to the man, (2) the Bride, (3) the crazy 88, (4) O-Ren, (5) Gogo, (6) pure unadulterated awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteIt's all good, apparently I forgot about it too! And those are definitely all good reasons to love Kill Bill Vol. 1. Pure unadulterated awesomeness FTW.
DeleteI will accept Dragon*Con as a completely valid excuse for being late. Did you manage to get any of the Firefly cast?
ReplyDeleteTime to push on to Vol. 2
I'm glad! I didn't get to bag them and take them home, but I did take many blurry images of Sean Maher, Jewel Staite, and Adam Baldwin. Mainly, Sean Maher and Jewl Staite whispering to each other and giggling while Adam Baldwin grumbled about it.
DeleteYes! Onward!
It sounds like you put your absence to awesome use. Attempted kidnapping rightfully trumps any other obligation. ALthough I do still feel a little raw about...ha, no... only kidding, glad you had fun. I will check out all this goodness now.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Kidnapping is hard work, what can I say? I still have to get on Kill Bill! All my Uma Thurman love...
DeleteDragon Con = All Forgiven I would want to abduct Firefly, too. And run off with Joss Whedon. Is it possible to lust after a brain? Thanks for the shout out M, I can't wait to read your review.
ReplyDeleteFirefly was amazing! Legit. I would definitely have Joss Whedon's children. Or steal his brain and put it in my head. Either or.
Deletenice one! And I've read all of RJ's books, so I'm all behind you. Where else you been?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been a little bit of everywhere. Time to scramble back into action and get some posts done!
Deletegood things thanks for it.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
