QT BLOGATHON: TRUE ROMANCE

While everyone else is out celebrating May Day, the Tarantinofest continues. April was True Romance month, and I got a couple badass cats to send me their opinions on the flick. I'll keep this one short and sweet, since April has worn my fingers to the nub. But, without further ado, every one check out Tarantino's brutal, bloody, and badass romance flick--True Romance.

1. From Brent of Criminal Movies gives the most in-depth review of True Romance known to mankind.

2. From Mr. Darko of The Movie Log gives an excellent review of Tarantino romance.

3. From Nick of French Toast Sunday agrees with me about the ridiculous music.

4. From Nikhat of Being Norma Jeane gives us the best scene in history, as well as a tidbit of information I completely forgot about.

Next up, we've got...my favorite movie. Not my favorite Tarantino film, my favorite film. Of all time. Pulp Motherfucking Fiction (1994). If anyone else wants to get in on it, send your review/podcast/list/eggplants to mhufstader (at) gm.slc.edu any time before June 1st. On June 1st, I'll put up a list of all the people who sent their reviews in.

  2. I do remember the soundtrack being odd, but I don't remember disliking it. I'll watch it again with directors commentary this summer and see if I notice.

    1. I can be off--I mean, it's fucking Hans Zimmer. He should be awesome. I just couldn't get down with it.

  3. Nice! I wish I had the nerve to review Pulp. I like it so much, I almost don't know what to say.
